The Value of Exercise Systolic Blood Pressure as an Indicator for Coronary Artery Disease in Normotensive Men

چکیده

Abstract Aim : We investigated if rates of systolic blood pressure to workloads during exercise can independently predict coronary artery disease. Methods 78 normotensive men with normal who had ECG stress test and a angiography within 30 days were enrolled in the study. Basic features all patients also compared. The at first stage, peak exercise, second, fourth sixth minute recovery compared both abnormal arteries. Statistical analysis: t stepwise regression was used. Results: statistically importantly higher which disease those arteries pressure. Conclusions: In high levels workload stage end presence disease, even non-conclusive tests or when doesn’t show any change exercise.

myocardial fractional flow reserve (ffr) is a new index of the functional significance of intermediate coronary stenoses that is calculated from pressure measurements made during coronary arteriography. the aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between non-hyperemic coronary pressure dicrotic notch and fractional flow reserve (ffr). a consecutive of 114 patients (73 men and 41 women...

Usefulness of the postexercise response of systolic blood pressure in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease.

The normal decline in systolic blood pressure (SBP) during the recovery phase of treadmill exercise does not occur in some patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). In others the recovery values of SBP exceed the peak exercise values. To examine the diagnostic value of this observation, we studied 31 normal subjects and 56 patients undergoing treadmill exercise before coronary cineangiograph...

‘Tendon xanthomas’ as an indicator of premature coronary artery disease

Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is an autosomal dominant disorder that causes severe elevations in total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol [1]. A ‘definite’ diagnosis of FH is made if a patient has elevated cholesterol levels and tendinous xanthomata, or if the patient has an identified mutation in the LDLR gene or the apolipoprotein B-100 gene [2]. Here, we report the case...

Prognostic value of exercise-induced left ventricular systolic dysfunction in hypertensive patients without coronary artery disease.

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES We sought to assess the prognostic value of exercise-induced left ventricular systolic dysfunction in hypertensive patients with normal resting echocardiography and absence of coronary artery disease. METHODS From our database of patients referred for treadmill exercise echocardiography, we identified 93 hypertensive patients with preserved resting left ventricular...

Systolic function during exercise in patients with coronary artery disease.

Global and regional systolic function during exercise were studied at cardiac catheterization with biplane cineangiography and micromanometer pressures in three groups of patients: an ischemia group (n = 22) with exercise-induced asynergy from coronary artery disease, a control group with no or minimal cardiovascular disease (n = 5) and a "scar" group (n = 5) with prior infarction and no new as...
